Dan & Lexie are engaged

This engagement session was especially fun for me because I happen to be related to one of these two. Can you guess who? If you guessed Lexie, you are awesome for thinking I have a hot sister. But you're wrong. That handsome man is my only little brother and I am so happy to see him getting married to such a beautiful, happy girl. Thanks you two!
Lexie loves sepia tones, but I couldn't resist throwing a few colored pictures in so you can see their beautiful eyes. (And a few black and whites because I can.)

My Baby is 1 preview

My baby turned 1 a few weeks ago and although I took way too many pictures on her birthday I've been so busy with other pictures that I haven't gone through hers yet. Here's a preview...more to come!
Now I know I'm a little partial, but she has got to be the cutest thing I have ever seen

Did I mention I have a cake smash session as well?

Homecoming Boots & A Touch of Sun

A touch of sun photo challenge. Head over to iheartfaces.com to see more entries

This hot mama decided to get new cowgirl boots instead of a new dress for homecoming. (A much more practical purchase in my opinion!) Her very crafty mom added a little satin ribbon to a corset they already had to make this awesome top. I came over to help with hair and ended up snapping a few pictures right before she left. I was using her mom's camera so I didn't upload all the images on my computer but I emailed myself a few of my favorites to play with. I love how they turned out!

The "S" Family

This beautiful family has lived in this house for the past 7 years and most of their children remember it as the home of their childhood. Sadly, they may be moving soon. So they decided to do family pictures around their home as a keepsake for their children. I loved the idea of capturing them in their element!

The dad of this family is a retired bull rider and the children are involved in FFA. We couldn't resist a boot shot!

Do you see an extra family member peeking over the mom's shoulder?
Teenagers are the most fun to take pictures of because they really get into posing. (Especially when they're allowed to change into their favorite Mt. Dew shirt after the family shot!)
The baby fell asleep before we could take an individual picture of him, but the boots made a nice substitute.

Baby Brylee

Brylee was as sweet as could be with her squishy little kissy lips. Unfortunately, she was so excited to have her pictures taken that she just couldn't stay asleep. And for those of you who don't know, that makes posing babies a little tricky. With a little patience we were still able to snap some cute shots while she dozed here and there.

Jessica & Randall

So I used to babysit this gorgeous girl when I was like 11. And now she's all grown up and getting married. Does that make me old? Never! We were worried the pictures wouldn't work because the wind was crazy and then it started to rain, but then the sun peeped through the clouds and lit up their faces, making this awesome contrast with the stormy background. Must be a good omen for this lovely couple.

Thanks for all the kissy-poohs (in front of your mother) and for being so cute together! Congratulations!

Houston

Houston has to be one of the happiest little guys I have ever met. (And one of the most energetic!) When I see these pictures of him I can almost hear his hearty little man laugh. We were lucky to have "Grammy" there to keep him chuckling!

The "F" Family

I sold a picture coupon at a church fundraiser and ended up getting to take pictures of this gorgeous extended family. I love their color choices. We had to meet in the middle of the day and didn't have a lot of good light to work with, but everyone was very helpful (even the little ones!) and we ended up getting some good shots nonetheless.

"If I'd known grandkids were this much fun I would have had them first!"
